About Me

Hello! My name is Sarah Wells and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have more than 8 years of professional experience in the field of social work and over 13 years of working with children and families (Former Preschool Teacher). I have experience working with anxiety/depression, life adjustment/transitions, family and relational challenges, and complex trauma and abuse. I primarily employ evidence-based techniques, including CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), DBT (dialectical behavioral therapy), mindfulness, and motivational interviewing.

In session, my approach is to come from a place of curiosity, asking many questions. I’m honest and straightforward. I believe in being open and transparent about any concerns or sharing what is going well. I invite my clients to be open, honest, and transparent with me as well so that we can ensure all needs are being met.

The first session is an introduction to therapy, including background information being gathered about the individual coming into therapy, my background, and rapport building. During the first session, it is my goal to keep it as light and relaxing as possible to help build that connection with you. If you think we might be a good fit, reach out today.
